Aviation Terms and Conditions

Hobart Airport welcomes Regular Passenger Transport (RPT), General Aviation (GA) and freight operations to the airport. We strive to work in partnership with all airline operators to provide the most seamless connection to Tasmania as possible.

Hobart Airport has published charges for RPT, GA and Freight operations.

The charges are summarised below:

Arrival and departure fees for domestic RPT aircraft at Hobart International Airport, payable by the holder of an aircraft’s certificate of registration, are fixed as follows with effect from 11 May 2011 and until further notice:

Notes:

  1. The fees specified in this notice do not include any amount for GST. The holder of an aircraft’s certificate of registration must also pay to the Hobart International Airport Pty Ltd an additional amount equal to the GST applicable at the time.
  2. RPT means Regular Passenger Transport.
  3. PSC means Passenger Services Charge.
  4. These charges applicable as at 1 July 2011 and will increase by CPI on 1 July each year, unless amended through the publishing of alternative prices.
  5. OSC means Outgoings & Security Charge.
  6. This charge will vary from time to time based on the volume of passengers experienced at the airport.
  7. MTOW means Maximum Take-off Weight of an aircraft as listed in the CASA Aircraft Regulation Data Base, with the fee applying per 1,000 kg of that weight pro-rata and subject to the minimum arrival fees set out above.
  8. Parking fees are not payable in relation to a general aviation, freight or rotor wing aircraft lighter than 6.25 tonnes until the aircraft has been parked at the airport for 12 hours at which time a fee of $20.00 will apply in relation to that day. Thereafter the daily rate set out above will apply.
