Hobart Airport is located approximately fifteen minutes drive from Hobart City.

Hobart Airport is the gateway to Tasmania, but we advise travellers to carefully consider travel distance and times prior to travelling (see Visiting Tasmania for more information).

Travellers should take note of the individual airlines check-in requirements ahead of arriving at the airport. It is recommended to provide sufficient time when preparing to travel. 

Hobart is a relatively straightforward city to navigate, with good signage and road infrastructure to make your journey pleasant.  The highway from Hobart Airport to the city is a dual-lane highway which takes you directly into the city of Hobart.

It would be recommended to book your accommodation ahead of arriving in Hobart, the Airport Hotel is a good property to start or end your trip, conveniently located within a short drive from the terminal.
