Annual Environment Reporting
The Airport provides an annual report to the Commonwealth, summarising Hobart Airport’s environmental performance over the course of each financial year. This is a statutory requirement, legislated under the Airports (Environment Protection) Regulations 1997. The basis of this report is the current Hobart Airport Master Plan and specifically, the Environment Strategy, which outlines our commitments and targets over the period of the Master Plan.
This report provides a summary of our progress against these commitments and targets in the previous financial year.
Cultural Burn Permit
Hobart Airport obtained a permit to undertake cultural burning of EPBC listed grasslands for a five year period concluding 1 November 2025.
This report has been prepared to fulfill reporting and compliance requirements of the abovementioned permit.
