We have partnered with the Association for Children with a Disability Tas (ACD Tas), Virgin Australia and Swissport to offer airport familiarisation tours for people with disability. These tours provide a hands-on experience navigating the airport and boarding an aircraft.
In a significant move to help protect Tasmanian wildlife, Hobart Airport and Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary teamed up to put a spotlight on the protection of wildlife while using Tasmanian roads, for both tourists and Tasmanians alike.
We collaborate with Fifteen Trees to plant one tree for each day of airport operations, contributing to the ongoing revegetation efforts across the state.
We have been working with the Salvation Army to provide lunch packs to students at Bayview Secondary College. The packs are for students who are not able to bring food to school and often do not have access to food at home.
We sponsor two Hobart-based secondary school students in need through The Smith Family. This financial support pays for school essentials such as uniform, textbooks, excursions, and mentoring and learning programs.
Partnering with the Salvation Army, we support the Doorways to Parenting Christmas Party which provides families a genuine opportunity to celebrate Christmas together, which otherwise may not happen.
We are partnering with Tasmanian charities and not-for-profits to collect funds via a donation box in the terminal. Our first charity partner is Bethlehem House, who provide safe accommodation and support services for people experiencing homelessness.
Through our Community Grants Program, we support projects led by not-for-profits and charities that strengthen the connections between people, places and opportunities across Tasmania.
