Buses, taxis and car rentals provide ample transport services to and from Hobart Airport. You can also find information about short and long term parking.
Hobart Airport offers four car parking options for our visitors. All car parks are conveniently located outside the terminal building. Please refer to the information and map below:
Premium Car Park
For parking while dropping off or picking up passengers and short-term parking. This car park is as close as you can get to our check in desks and arrivals hall.
Why not park and fly? Our Valet service is convenient and hassle-free – giving you ultimate peace of mind. Valet Parking is located within the Premium Car Park.
To use this service, simply park outside the Valet Office in one of the designated spaces and one of our attendants will take care of the rest.
Our valet service is available 7 days a week, from 5am.
Terminal Car Park
Convenient parking close to the terminal for short or longer term stays.
Long Term Car Park
This value car park option is only a short walk to the terminal building. We recommend using this car park for longer term stays.
License Plate Recognition
License Plate Recognition technology has now been rolled out across all of our car parks.
Drivers can simply enter their vehicle registration while booking online and our license plate recognition will take care of the rest.
Our newly installed cameras recognise the license plate number and automatically lift the boom gate upon entry and exit of our car parks, creating a safe and convenient, windows up experience.

Book in advance
For visitors with a disabled parking permit you can take advantage of the Saver Car Park offers and still park just outside the terminal. Just proceed to the Valet Office in the Premium Car Park and speak with one of our attendants.

Or, free parking for 10 minutes
Say hello or goodbye – the Tasmanian way, by coming into the terminal building. The car park is free for the first 10 minutes, so you can spend some relaxed time together. Let us make you a snack and a coffee to make your visit even more enjoyable.

Drop-off and pick-up map
Australian Government security requirements dictate that vehicles dropping off passengers must be attended at all times. The driver of the vehicle must remain with their vehicle. Any vehicle left unattended will be subject to an immediate fine and may be towed away.
Every arrival at Hobart Airport is met by taxis that will take passengers into Hobart city. The trip will take around 20 minutes.
The taxi rank is located directly out the front of the terminal building. If you need a mini-van or special taxi please ask one or our kerbside assistants who will radio one through for you.

Uber is now available at Hobart Airport.
To request a ride, use the Uber app and meet your driver at the designated pick up area in the pick up/drop off lane.
A rideshare access fee of $3.85 per trip applies to those using Uber services at Hobart Airport.
For those travelling to the airport using Uber, your driver will drop you off at the designated area in the pick up/drop off lane outside the terminal.
SkyBus provides fast and low cost airport transfers departing every 30 minutes daily – 7 days a week, all year round to the heart of Hobart City.
Tickets are available online through the SkyBus website. Alternatively, you can purchase tickets at the ticketing booth located opposite our car rental desks in the Arrivals Hall. If the booth is unattended, tickets can be purchased from the SkyBus driver outside our Arrivals area.
Where to wait:
The buses stop outside the arrivals hall forecourt (Gate 1), to the right of the yellow bus shelter. After collecting your luggage from the carousels exit the nearest set of doors.

SkyBus is a “turn up and go” service which means bookings aren’t necessary. Tickets can be purchased from drivers at any of the pick up stops.

Due to the changes to flight services as a result of COVID-19, the terminal at Hobart Airport is currently open three hours prior to the first scheduled departure and closes 30 minutes after the last scheduled departure each day.
If there are changes to arrival or departure times, we will adjust our opening hours to accommodate.
