Are you keen to work in a dynamic environment and ready for a multi-faceted leadership role? Hobart Airport is seeking an experienced Environment Professional to join our team as the Head of Environment and Sustainability.

About the Role

This is a rare, full-time opportunity to provide strategic and technical advice that ensures a sustainable balance between airport operations, environmental values, and future growth. The role is as dynamic as you make it, from relocating a wandering wombat, conducting water quality testing, to collaborating with stakeholders on major construction projects. Days are never dull at Hobart Airport!

Your work will have a broad impact as we continue to embed sustainability into every aspect of our business.

What you’ll bring

· Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science/Science or Environmental Engineering (minimum requirement)

· 5+ years of field experience in environmental management, with significant exposure to the environmental aspects of construction activities

· Comprehensive understanding of local, state, and Commonwealth government environmental requirements

· Practical knowledge of carbon mapping, reporting, and data collation

· Proven ability to manage projects, budgets, and meet deadlines

· Strong communication, stakeholder management, and writing skills

· A friendly, people-first attitude and great relationship-building skills
